Vinny Fedor is a musician, singer, and songwriter from Portage, Indiana. Known previously as the lead guitarist for the Northwest Indiana metal group The Astronaut, Fedor launched a solo career in 2024, continuing on The Astronaut legacy of experimental metal and hard rock.
Fedor began his professional music career in 2017 when he joined The Astronaut. Throughout much of the late 2010's, he helped write and record two live recordings, an EP, and played consistent live shows with the band, gaining a foothold throughout much of the local NWI metal scene until the band disbanded in late 2020. Since then, Fedor has embarked on a solo career and released his debut album Darkened Skies in July 2024, utilizing his almost 8 years of professional music experience to take metal and hard rock songwriting to different levels. He uses a variety of influences to craft a personalized and deep musical journey that encompasses a plethora of vibes and themes.
Upon returning to the NWI area, Fedor plans to play live shows in support of Darkened Skies and compose material for a follow up album next year.
